Golden Tones and Fall Wedding Vibes – Brooke + Krisjan at Mae’s Ridge in Johnson City, TX

This fall wedding was flawless down to every detail. Brooke herself is a wedding photographer, so she already knew a few things about weddings going into wedding planning. Brooke and Krisjan Carter tied the knot at a beautiful venue out in the Hill Country of Johnson City, TX just south of Austin. Mae’s Ridge is a hidden gem with its beautiful white and black aesthetics with a touch of gold. And I absolutely adore their signature chairs which are included in the rental of the venue.

The design was a modern boho look. Her main colors were black, burgundy, terra-cotta, with neutrals and dried florals. Each table had a nice arrangement of dried floral and each place setting was detailed with a sweet thank you note from the couple. The bridesmaids dresses were a nice burgundy, while the groomsmen were decked out in all black.

Taylor Salerno did such an amazing job capturing the sweetness between these two and all the people that came to support them. Every second of this day was filled with intention.

Not only were the table settings, decor, and fashion on point, but check out this beautiful cake! Plus it was quite delious too.

My favorite memory of the night was their grand entrance. We lined up everyone and blasted “Here Comes the Men in Black” while some of the groomsmen filed in with sunglasses paving the way for the rest of the party. They acted as body guards ready for the couples’ entrance into the night. Definitely a non-traditional approach, but fabulously executed.

Don’t let all this prettiness fool you! These guys know how to get down at a wedding. And the men in black, aka our groom team, showed up to represent on the dance floor!
